For the 4th year on may 4, 2025, the Interact Club at Spaulding High School spearheaded Tree Plenish. The goal of Tree Plenish is to plant trees to offset our school's carbon emissions.
A Tree-Plenish event is a community tree planting event organized by students and supported by the organization Tree-Plenish. The event's goal is to replenish the environment with trees, offsetting the impact of paper consumption and other environmental issues. These events are designed to promote sustainability, raise awareness, and empower students to take meaningful environmental action.
Saplings cost $7.00 and 3 tree species were offered: Red Maple, Eastern Redbud, and River Birch
294 trees were distributed/planted! Trees were planted at 15 homes plus the Wayside Restaurant with 20 trees!!
SHS Interact made Barre a better place and more sustainable through their efforts.
